The state will pay the hospital Rs. for every hour, and the victim's treatment at the hospital will cost the state the sum of 50,000.

The Gujarat Vahan Akasmat Sahay Scheme will not cover the expense of healthcare for patients.

  • This scheme allows the patient to go to any one of these healthcare facilities: private hospitals, public hospitals, district hospitals medical college hospitals or any other healthcare facility that is recognized.
  • There is no charge for injuries to accident victims. Patients cannot be charged by hospitals for treatment during the first 24 hours.
  • A private hospital is able to send charges for medicine to the Chief Medical Officer in the district.
  • Private hospitals have an option to Rs.50,000
